YABAI YABAI Lunar New Year Project

During the Lunar New Year, many families do visiting at their relative’s or friend’s house to usher in the new year. As it is an important time where family members all come together to celebrate, I wanted to make something where the whole family can wear and match with each other. A series of reversible bucket hats and bags was launched for this project, where the wearer can choose to either show a denim or tangerine print on the outside.

Tangerines, or mandarin oranges are always given as a pair when visiting to signify luck and prosperity. The print was created with well wishes to bring in good luck for the new year.
