Wallpaper – Dec 2020
It’s the time of the year where I go – how did time fly so fast?! December never really hits me until I see the Christmas fairy lights trailing the roads. And yet, I have been through a lot this year – saying goodbye to my Tokyo apartment and moving back to my family, opening a studio space with my friend, and launching the second collection of YABAI YABAI. Though it has been a tough year for a lot of people during the pandemic including myself, I try to remind myself to appreciate the small wins in life. Making coffee in the morning and drinking it slowly, adding a lot of ingredients into my bee hoon noodles for just 2 dollars, getting a sweet note from a customer, being asked if I am still a student when I buy fabrics in Chinatown (haha!) are my small wins today. This month’s wallpaper is inspired by that – confetti at the end of the year because you deserve to be recognized for all your small wins this year! It has been fun making wallpapers for this whole year. Hope to bring you more goodies in 2021. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
